Why Meghan?

As a mom to 3 young children at Saucon Valley, I am very invested in the future of our School District. I am an active supporter of our students, their families, our teachers and staff, and I believe in the need to engage our community moving forward. For the past 4 years, I have been on the Board for the Elementary School Parent Teacher Org (PTO), serving my first 2 years as Treasurer and now serving my 2nd year as President. As part of the PTO, my goal has been to serve as a bridge between school and home. Our mission has been to enhance and support the educational experience in our Elementary School while developing a closer connection between school and home through parent involvement and when needed financial support. Now, I look forward to being a bridge between our School Board and the SV community.

I believe as a School Board we must prioritize excellence in education by supporting strong academic opportunities, as well as in the arts, athletics, and extracurriculars. We must prepare each of our students for their unique futures! Including and engaging families and our community in this process benefits all stakeholders. I am excited for active collaboration, transparency, and accountability through consistent and open communication. I will respect the community's concerns financial concerns by considering free resources, alternate funding sources, and active partnerships within our community. As a school board, we must ensure resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to allow for smart spending and sustainable growth. Lastly, I see the value in supporting and respecting the teachers and staff within our school. I am proud to stand with our educators and advocate alongside them for strong public education and the resources they need for our students to succeed.

Strong schools benefit our entire community. I am excited to working alongside our educators, families, and community members to make sure every student has the opportunities they need to thrive.
